Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental Manager (QSHE) – Print - Ossett

Monday – Friday – 09.00am – 5.30pm

If you’re a hands-on NEBOSH qualified manufacturing professional with a strong grasp of Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental regulations, this is a superb opportunity to make your mark on an innovative, forward thinking company.

Working as part of the Management Team, as the Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring total compliance with all legal, customer and company policies by leading the development and deployment of an effective compliance strategy.

Defining and implementing the compliance strategy, you’ll complete regular company audits in order to identify and reduce risks. You’ll seek to improve health, safety and environmental policies within the business and minimise the risk of accidents by developing a comprehensive accident prevention strategy and must have a proven track record of achieving these objectives.

Maintaining the current compliance schedule, you’ll have experience of non-conformance analysis and the ability to conduct assessments of internal controls. Additionally, you’ll research best business practices in order to establish benchmark data, KPIs and targets.

In addition to the above you will liaise with all external bodies including HSE, NQA, EA and Environmental Health.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • a proven track record of achieving results and identifying opportunities for improvement within the compliance environment
  • knowledge of standards relating to the quality, environmental, safety and operational aspects of a business, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • a formal auditing qualification and experience, ideally Integrated Management Systems.

The following skills are advantageous but not essential to the role:

  • experience gained within a print manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of FSC, PEFC, Safe Contractor codes of practice and other industry specific regulations and standards.
  • experience of Industrial Audiometry testing

The ideal candidate will be analytical, with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

Experienced mac operator - (Rotating Early/Late Working Pattern)

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced mac operator to work in our repro department.

It is essential that the successful candidate already has a proven knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop gained within a print environment. PDF Workflow experience, Agfa Apogee and GMG Colour Management would be advantageous but is not essential.

In addition to the above you will also be a good communicator, literate, enthusiastic, possess a keen eye for detail and will have the ability to produce top quality results, working to tight deadlines.

Fulfilment Administrator - Full Time

Hours of Work – 08.30am – 5.30pm ……….. OR 

2 x Fulfilment Administrators – Part Time 20 hours per week – TBC.

Hours of Work -

We are seeking to recruit either one full time Administrator or two part time Administrators to work within our fulfilment office team, currently based at Kolorcraft Distribution.

Duties will include:

  • communicating directly with stores, placing orders and supplying store specific information 
  • accurately entering data onto the Management Information System
  • entering data onto Excel for reporting purposes.
  • providing stores with delivery information (incl. PODs from a variety of courier companies)
  • accurately processing allocations supplied by the Commercial team
  • liaising with the Despatch team regarding transport arrangements.
  • assisting other members of the team in the use of the software packages.
  • checking web based orders and changing as required, ensuring that all changes are reported.
  • disposal of stock, as requested.

Essential Requirements:

  • IT literate with excellent Data Inputting skills
  • excellent customer service, communication skills and telephone manner
  • the ability to listen, identify and resolve client issues whilst keeping calm and professional at all times
  • ability to work under pressure
  • ability to work on your own or as part of a team
  • flexible with regard to working hours
  • commitment and enthusiasm to ensure that the work within the department is carried out in line with Company procedures and is completed to the highest of standards.

Previous experience in a Customer Service would be advantageous.

Packing Team Leader - (Permanent Nights – 37.5 Hours per Week)

Hours of Work - Sunday – Thursday - 10.00pm – 06.00am

Reporting to the Packing Supervisor this role is responsible for leading a team of permanent and temporary staff. 

You will be required to:  

  • accept a brief from the Packing Supervisor and to agree timescales allowed on the job by reviewing time allowed on ticket versus time taken.
  • lead a team of permanent and temporary staff, delegate work, meeting the agreed timescales and objectives of the job.
  • ensure that all tasks delegated are completed on time, to the required quality standards and in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
  • provide accurate and timely feedback to the Packing Supervisor of progress against the scheduled completion times, reporting any issues or concerns as and when identified.
  • operate Packing/Finishing and Fulfilment equipment in line with Company H & S and training requirements.
  • route all POS materials according to instructions issued by the Client.

The successful candidate will:

  • have a good knowledge of all printing processes and all types of finishing operations.
  • have the ability to motivate individuals and encourage individual performance.
  • be flexible with regard to working hours
  • have a good understanding of the English language as candidates will be working from detailed job instructions/tickets.
  • be pro-active and self-motivated

  • have previous experience in a similar role
  • have the ability to cope in high pressure situations whilst keeping calm and focused
  • be hard working, reliable and flexible 
  • be used to working to tight deadlines

Packing Team Leader – Fulfilment

Monday – Friday – 09.00am – 5.30pm – 37.5 Hours per week.

Working as part of the Fulfilment Despatch team you will required to supervise the team in despatching materials, as per client instructions.

Duties will include:

  • assist in assessing job requirements, allocating to a team of permanent and temporary staff to action work and to meet agreed timescales and objective of the job.
  • to promote and ensure all Packing Operatives are using the most efficient method of working.
  • to motivate team members, encouraging individual performance and

promoting a positive working relationship between Fulfilment colleagues and temporary staff.

  • maintain the stock system ensuring all products and shelves are clearly labelled and easily found.
  • to update stocks and assist in stock taking, as and when required.
  • to pack goods and complete collating lists.
  • to operate the Management Information System ensuring accurate input at all times.

Essential Requirements:

  • ability to work quickly and efficiently in order to meet very tight deadlines.
  • IT Literate
  • a keen eye for detail
  • flexible with regard to working hours
  • commitment and enthusiasm to ensure that the work within the department is carried out in line with Company procedures and is completed to the highest of standards.

No. 3 finishing operative - Rotating 3 system working pattern

(Double Days & Nights)

We are looking to recruit a skilled Finishing Operative who has gained experience within the print industry producing high quality point of purchase material using Guillotines, Platens, Lamina laminator and Cauhe paper drill, Working knowledge of operating a Zund and Esko Cad Cutting would be advantageous, although not essential as training can be provided. 

Applicants will require a good level of understanding as you will be expected to read and interpret the requirements for each job, checking for material types, colours and quantities, whilst at the same time checking for any defects or adjustments that may be required.

A clean driving licence and a fork lift truck licence would be advantageous.

Packing/Prep operative - Day Shift

Hours of Work - 10.00am - 6.00pm

We are looking to recruit a hard working individual to expand our existing small team working in the WIP area at Kolorcraft Distribution. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be self-motivated and will have the ability to work in a time critical pressurised environment.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with key personnel in relation to print media despatches to Kolorcraft fulfillment.
  • Verifying quantities to be delivered to Fulfilment.
  • Ensuring stock sheets are completed for all clients whilst the job is in production.
  • Performing and completing a variety of finishing tasks.
  • Inspecting the printed product for smears, mis-registration, malformation and removing defective items.
  • Reporting quality problems, following Company procedures.
  • Liaising with the fulfilment manager regarding shortages of stock.

Key attributes & Skills required:

  • A basic understanding of the print process
  • Ability to accurately process data
  • Ability to meet targets/deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Adherence to procedures
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous although not essential as training can be provided.

Warehouse Operative (KD Goods-In) - Days

Hours of Work - 08.00am - 4.00pm

We are looking to recruit a hard working individual to expand our existing small team working in the Goods-In area at Kolorcraft Distribution. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be self-motivated and will have the ability to work in a time critical pressurised environment.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure that all goods received are notified to the addressee or an appropriate member of staff as soon as possible after receipt
  • To ensure that warehouse scheduled tasks are carried out in accordance with agreed timescales.
  • To ensure all stock is appropriately identified and stored in a safe manner, in storage racks or floor locations.
  • To operate FLTs to unload/load goods to and from transport, when unloading to distribute to the appropriate locations
  • To maintain good housekeeping, observing health & Safety requirements
  • To complete any documentation in accordance with Company Procedures.
